Trojans Finish Fifth at Amer Ari Invitational

Waikoloa, Hawai'i - Junior Steve Lim carded a three-under 69 final round on Friday (Feb. 4), helping the USC men's golf team finish fifth at the Amer Ari Invitational at the Waikoloa (Hi.) Kings' Course.
The Trojans, who began the day in seventh at 13-under 563, moved up to fifth at 19-under 845 (271, 292, 282) after a 6-under day. Oklahoma won the tournament at 34-under 830. Texas finished second (835), and UCLA third (836).
Lim led the Trojans, finishing tied for 22nd, at 4-under 212 (70 73, 69). His final round included three birdies over the final eight holes.
Sophomore Martin Trainer finished tied for 28th, at 3-under 213 (67, 74, 72). His third round included birdies on three of the first four holes.
Sophomore T.J. Vogel finished tied for 38th, at 1-under 215 (72, 73, 70).
Freshman Ramsey Sahyoun finished tied for 51st, at 1-over 217 (68, 72, 77).
Freshman Jeffrey Kang finished tied for 59th, at 2-over 218 (68, 81, 71).
The Trojans started the tournament strong, shooting 17-under 271 on Wednesday to put them in first place by seven strokes.
During the second round on Thursday, USC fell off the pace, finishing the day seventh at 13-under 563.
