NCAA Champs To Be Honored At Kings Game

After making a serious splash in claiming three straight national championships in the pool, the USC men's water polo team will enter the splash-free zone of the ice hockey rink to be honored by the Los Angeles Kings. At tonight's Kings game against the Boston Bruins, the 2010 national champs have been invited to center ice for a ceremony that will highlight the Trojans for winning three consecutive NCAA titles.
Head coach Jovan Vavic, his staff and members of USC's most recent national championship squad will head to Staples Center tonight (Jan. 24) for the 7:30 p.m. puck drop. The Trojans are due to be honored in a ceremony after the first period, highlighted by coach and player interviews during the intermission.
The 2010 champs also were recently honored at Troy during halftime of the USC men's basketball game against Stanford. The Trojans earned a standing ovation from the crowd in attendance.
