Andrew Triggs Named Pac-10 Conference All-Academic First Team

LOS ANGELES -- Redshirt freshman pitcher Andrew Triggs (Nashville, Tenn./Montgomery Bell Academy) has been named to the 2009 Pac-10 Conference All-Academic first team, as announced by Commissioner Tom Hansen. Triggs earned a 3.61 GPA in social sciences and history for the Trojans.
This season, Triggs made 10 starts in 15 appearances. He was 5-3 with a 3.96 ERA and two complete games. He threw 75 innings and allowed 79 hits with 33 earned runs, 20 walks, 50 strikeouts and a .276 opponents' batting average.
Redshirt freshman outfielder Garret Houts received honorable mention recognition.
