LOS ANGELES -- USC junior shortstop Grant Green (Anaheim Hills/Canyon HS) and junior pitcher Brad Boxberger (Tustin/Foothill HS) each played a key role in the East Division's 8-6 win Saturday at the 2008 Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game. Green, who was named MVP for the East team, hit a game-tying two-run homer while Boxberger threw a perfect ninth to earn the save.
Green's homer in the eighth inning was memorable in a different way as the CCBL website reported that a trio of streakers hit the field during his at-bat. After the streakers came off the field, Green hit a blast to dead center on the next pitch.
"I just started busting up," Green said of the three unclothed males. "It was the funniest thing I've ever seen in a baseball game."
