USC women's soccer head coach Ali Khosroshahin will be conducting open tryouts on February 20, offering the opportunity for current USC students to join the ranks of the competitive Women of Troy roster. Interested participants must complete the necessary paperwork and have a physical examination before showing up at the tryout, which is set for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at McAlister Field.
"I believe that, at this type of institution, there are a lot of athletes here who can have an impact in our program," Khosroshahin said. "I want to create a competitive environment to allow us to achieve our goals, so I'm hoping to bring in players who will make an immediate impact on our program."
For participants who prove themselves, Khosroshahin will then extend an invitation to join the next day of spring practice, with the chance to train with the team for the next two weeks. From there, further cuts will be made to round out the USC roster for the ensuing fall season.
The required paperwork can be picked up outside the Compliance Office upstairs in Heritage Hall. For more information, contact the USC soccer office at uscsoccer@gmail.com.
