Juan Delgadillo Named MPSF Player of the Week

Senior driver Juan Delgadillo led the USC men's water polo team with 10 goals at the Northern California Tournament as the Trojans successfully defended their tournament title with an undefeated run through the weekend's competition. For his standout efforts in helping the Trojans to back-to-back NorCal Tournament crowns, Delgadillo has been named the MPSF Mikasa Player of the Week.
Delgadillo scored in each game at the NorCal Tournament, including a three-goal outburst in the championship game to lead USC to a 10-7 win over previously top-ranked California. Delgadillo scored two goals in the tournament opener over Santa Clara, then tallied four goals in a 13-1 win over LMU. And in the semifinals, Delgadillo scored once in a 7-6 win over UCLA to help get USC into the championship match. He is USC's leading scorer on the season with 12 goals so far. The USC squad now stands alone as the only undefeated MPSF team with a 6-0 record and is on a 25-game winning streak.
This is Delgadillo's second career honor as MPSF Player of the Week. He first won the award last season as a junior.
