Amanda Fink Falls In Pac-10 Singles Championship Match

OJAI, CALIF. -- USC freshman Amanda Fink had powered her way into the Pac-10 Women's Singles Championship match behind a strong run through the tough tournament play. In the final, Fink faced Cal's Suzi Fodor, ranked #8 in the nation just ahead of #10 Fink. Fink forced a tough first set, but Fodor took over in the second set to win the Pac-10 title with a 7-6 (2), 6-3 decision.
Fink's debut in the Pac-10 tournament was highlighted by her upset win over Stanford's #4-ranked Alice Barnes in the semifinals on Saturday.
Fink and the Women of Troy -- ranked No. 2 in the nation behind Pac-10 partner Stanfortd -- now move to the NCAA Championships. The selections for the NCAA action will be announced on Wednesday (May 3).
