Troy Finishes 4th At Ping Invitational

Sophomore Dewi-Claire Schreefel was USC's high finisher and sophomore Paola Moreno was Troy's top final-round performer as the No. 4 Women of Troy finished fourth at the Ping/ASU Invitational in Tempe, Ariz., on Sunday (April 2).
USC posted a combined 300 to finish fourth with an 893 (+29). UCLA (865) edged host Arizona State (866) for the win.
Schreefel finished tied for 15th (222, +6) after a final-round 79. Senior Irene Cho finished two shots back (224), tied for 21st after wrapping up with a 75.
Junior Catalina Marin was tied for 27th (225, +9) after a Sunday 78 while Moreno moved up to a tie for 30th after leading the Trojans with a 72 for a 226 (+10).
Junior Veronica Felibert finished tied for 50th after a final-round 75 (232, +16). Freshman Shelcie Takenouchi, playing as an individual, turned in her second straight 77 to tie for 77th (242, +26). She was only one over after 14 holes.
