The USC men's water polo team has added another talented incoming player to its roster for the upcoming 2006 season. Further arming the Trojans for the defense of their NCAA championship, Jordan Thompson has signed a letter of intent to join USC. Thompson joins a stellar class of new Trojans, teaming up with fellow incoming players Anthony Artukovich, J.W. Krumpholz, Tom Money, Justin Rappel, Matt Sagehorn, Nico Sardo, Kyle Sterling, Drew Vyn and Kyle Wootten -- all of whom signed letters of intent earlier this year.
Thompson hails from the CIF champion team La Canada High School and recently was named to the 2005 All-CIF Division III First Team. A 6-5 two-meter player, Thompson brings size, strength and skill to the hole position for the Trojans. He also has experience at the national team level as a member of the U.S. Youth National Team.
"He definitely adds depth to our two-meter position," USC head coach Jovan Vavic said about Thompson. "He's big, strong and tough kid that will add immediate depth. He's a hardworker and has good hands."
