MARINA DEL REY, Calif. - After a two-week hiatus, the USC rowing novice team returned to the water on Saturday, April 17, to compete at a four-team dual hosted by Loyola Marymount at Ballona Creek in Marina del Rey.
The Women of Troy raced a Novice Eight and Novice Four boat. The eights competed twice and the fours once, as USC captured a win in two of the three races.
The first race of the day featured mixed crews as the Trojans' first-year rowers edged out Loyola Marymount's JV Eight boat by more than 16 seconds. USC finished second to Sacramento State's JV Eight in a time of 7:43.6.
