LOS ANGELES -- The USC Trojans opened the 2003 season as the No. 2-ranked team in the nation, according to the Collegiate Coaches' Water Polo poll. The Trojans received 93 points, four behind first-place Stanford. California, UCLA and Pepperdine round out the top five spots, respectively.

USC opens its 2003 regular season on Saturday (Sept. 13) at 10:30 a.m. against No. 6 UC San Diego at McDonald's Swim Stadium. The match starts two-and-a-half hours prior to the USC-Hawaii football game at 1 p.m. at the Coliseum.
