Jovan Vavic Named National Coach Of The Year

LOS ANGELES -- USC head coach Jovan Vavic was named 2003 National Coach of the Year by the American Water Polo Coaches Association, which also released its All-American teams. Vavic led the Trojans to a 24-3 record this season and the program's second national championship with a thrilling 9-7 overtime win at Stanford. He earned his first honor in 1998 when he shared coaching duties at USC with former head coach John Williams.
Senior goalie Bozidar Damjanovic, senior Predrag Damjanov and sophomore Juraj Zatovic earned All-America first team honors while junior James Shin was named to the All-America third team.
