LOS ANGELES - Freshman Trevor Clark scored a team-high four goals as the No. 1 USC Trojans defeated the No. 8 UC Irvine Anteaters, 15-8, in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation action at McDonald's Swim Stadium. Clark led the Trojans for the second straight day after scoring three goals in yesterday's 11-6 win against No. 7 Long Beach State.
USC improves to 16-3 overall and 6-1 in MPSF play while UCI falls to 10-12 overall and 2-3 in conference.
The Trojans snapped a 1-1 tie in the first period with four goals in a span of three minutes and held a 7-3 lead at halftime.
Don Ricci registered 12 saves in goal for the Trojans. USC will conclude conference play next Sunday (Nov. 9) at UC Santa Barbara at 3 p.m.
