USC Unveils New Football Jerseys

USC football will sport a new look in 2002.
Coach Pete Carroll's Trojans will wear jerseys with a style that harkens back to the era of the 1960s--with some added touches.
The last time USC underwent a uniform change of this magnitude was 1971, when the jerseys worn up until last season were first introduced.
In 2002, the Trojans will wear jerseys similiar to those worn by USC teams from 1958-1970. The jersey features a single crescent/stripe on each shoulder pad and numbers on the sleeve (all numbers and stripes on the jerseys are sewn in). There is also an interlocking "SC" logo on the bottom of the neckline. Per tradition, there will be no names on the back of the jersey.
Selected jerseys will be available for sale to the public in the fall.
The Trojans will debut their new jerseys on Sept. 2 against Auburn at the Coliseum.
