Men's Water Polo Hosts Alumni Match On Saturday

LOS ANGELES -- The USC men's water polo team will hold its 2001 Alumni Game on Saturday (Sept. 1) at 12 p.m. at McDonald's Swim Stadium. The Trojans will then scrimmage at Long Beach State on Sunday before opening their 2001 season at home on Saturday (Sept. 8) against Long Beach State. As is the case for most home matches, the Trojans will start at 1 p.m., two and a half hours prior to the home football game (Sept. 8 vs. Kansas State, 3:30 p.m. at the Coliseum).
USC finished third in the nation last year with a 22-5 record and the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championship with a 7-1 mark. The Trojans return three of their top five scorers, including seniors Ivan Babic and Daniel Lontay.
