In today's game against California, senior Josh Persell (Sherman Oaks, Calif./Montclair Prep) set a school career record when he was hit by a pitch for the 37th time. He was hit by a Trevor Hutchinson pitch in the fourth inning, breaking the record of 36, held by Brett Jenkins (1989-91). For extra measure, he was hit again in the eighth inning for the 38th time in his career.
