WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- USC junior right-hander Mark Prior was named Pac-10 Conference Pitcher of the Week for March 13-19, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Prior threw a complete game, two-hitter on Saturday in a 5-1 win at Washington. It was the 20th two-hitter at USC since 1976. Prior struck out a career-high 14 batters and did not allow a walk. In 50 2/3 innings this season, Prior is 5-1 with a 1.60 ERA, 80 strikeouts and six walks.

This is the first Pac-10 POTW honor in Prior's career and the 43rd all-time selection for USC.
