Nov. 7, 2001
USC, featuring All-American sophomore Nicci Fusaro and freshman standout Blythe Hartley, hosts the Trojan Diving Invitational this Thursday through Saturday (Nov. 8-10) at USC's McDonald's Swim Stadium on the Trojan campus.
The event will feature a host of local and Pacific-10 schools, including UC Irvine, UC San Diego, San Diego State, UCLA, Redlands, Fresno State, Stanford, BYU, San Jose State and USC.
Both Hartley and Fusaro have started the year well. Hartley won both springboard events at the Stanford Diving Invitational last week in Palo Alto while Fusaro finished in second in both events. USC sophomore Erin McKeon is also back for her second year with the diving squad.
The Trojans are currently without All-American senior Kellie Brennan, who has been out of action the last couple weeks while recovering from an illness.
Thursday's competition features women's 1-meter springboard and men's 3-meter springboard and Friday features men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter. Sunday will be exclusively platform. Events each day begin at 10 a.m.
Results will be posted on usctrojans.com after each day's events.
