Freshman Candie Kung, who won the 2000 Pac-10 individual title, has been named to the All Pac-10 first team, the conference announced on Thursday (April 27).
Fellow freshman Mikaela Parmlid, who just missed out on the Pac-10 title herself, was named to the second team.
Kung, whose hometown is Monterey Park, Calif., has had a remarkable freshman year, setting the Women of Troy record for lowest stroke average (72.5) while becoming only the second USC women's golfer to win a Pac-10 individual title (Jennifer Biehn won the 1994 title). She is ranked No. 4 in the latest MasterCard Golf Poll.
Parmlid, who hails from Gothenburg, Sweden, has been not far behind. Her stroke average of 74.4 is second on the team and includes three top five finishes.
Three other Trojans garnered All Pac-10 honorable-mention: junior Nicole Dalkas, senior Linda Ishii and sophomore Leila Chartrand.
