Davis, Williams Shine at World University Games

Palma De Mallorca, Spain - Jerome Davis won the 400m, Angela Williams won the 100m and Brigita Langerholc set a USC record in the 800m to highlight a fine showing by Trojan athletes at the World University Games in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, on July 7-13.
Davis equaled his personal-best with a time of 44.91 seconds. Williams won her race in 11.19. Both will compete in the World Championships at Seville, Spain, on August 21-29.
Langerholc, running for Slovenia, ran 1:59.87 to finish second in the 800m. She broke Michelle Taylor's 10-year old school mark by .14 seconds.
Other Trojan highlights: Torri Edwards ran 11.34 to finish fifth in the 100m (she will also compete in Seville), Natasha Danvers, running for Great Britain, ran 55.80 to take third in the 400m hurdles, Esi Benyarku, running for Canada, made it to the semifinals of the 100m.
