Trojan Football Firms Up '98 Schedule

LOS ANGELES -- Kickoff times have been set for 2 early-season home USC football games.
The Sept. 12 game against San Diego State will start at 7:30 p.m. and the Sept. 19 contest against Oregon State will begin at 7 p.m. Both games, to be played in the Coliseum, will be televised live by Fox Sports West 2.
Five of USC's 7 home games in 1998 now have kickoff times set. USC previously announced that the Aug. 30 game against Purdue will be at 11:30 a.m., the Oct. 3 game versus Arizona State will be at 4 p.m. and the Nov. 28 game against Notre Dame will be at 5 p.m. ABC-TV will televise all 3 of those games live, with the Purdue and Notre Dame games shown nationally and the Arizona State game aired regionally.
USC's only road game with a scheduled kickoff time is the Sept. 26 game at Florida State, which will start at 3:30 p.m. (ET) and will be televised live regionally by ABC-TV.
Kickoff times for USC's remaining 1998 games will be announced approximately 2 weeks prior to each contest, depending on television scheduling.
