Women's Tennis Team Defeated by No. 5 Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. - The fifth-ranked Stanford women's tennis team topped No. 10 USC 5-1 this afternoon at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

All doubles matches were canceled due to poor weather.

Stanford's Marissa Irvin saw a 23-match win streak come to an end as 19th-ranked Ditta Huber of USC, upset the second-ranked player in the nation 7-5, 4-6, 6-4. Irvin's 14-dual match win streak was also halted.

Stanford improves to 17-2 overall, while the Women of Troy fall to 14-7. This match does not count toward Pac-10 standings.
