COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The USC women's soccer team couldn't find the back of the net and fell to Maryland, 3-0, on Friday in the Terrapins' Puma Invitational.
The Women of Troy (1-2) will play Towson on Sunday. Maryland improved to 1-2.
USC gave up two goals in the first 20 minutes (to Keri Sarver at 2:14 and Robin McCullough at 18:34).
The Women of Troy put together a strong effort the rest of the way, but were unable to score. At the end of the first half, junior midfielder Kim Clark missed on a penalty shot.
The Terrapins scored their third goal at 82:22 on a goal by Carrie Klotz.
