LOS ANGELES - Twelve different players scored as the No. 6 USC men's water polo team blasted UC Davis, 15-3, at the McDonald's Swim Stadium on Friday afternoon.
The Trojans (2-0) got two goals each from junior 2-meter man James Castle (Hacienda Heights/Wilson HS), junior 2-meter man Peter Janov and senior driver Marko Pintaric.
USC had a 9-0 scoring run that lasted from midway through the first quarter to midway through the third quarter.
UC Davis fell to 0-3.
USC is in the Southern California Tournament at Newport Harbor High this weekend. On Saturday (Sept. 19), USC plays top-ranked Stanford at 12:25 p.m. and Air Force at 4:45 p.m. Play continues on Sunday (Sept. 20) with the opponents and times to be determined based on Saturday's results.
