TEMPE, Ariz. - The 13th-ranked Arizona State women's tennis team (6-5, 1-3 Pac-10) upset 10th-ranked USC today 5-4 at the Whiteman Tennis Center.
The match was tied going into the doubles competition, where ASU received two victories to clinch the win. The match came down to the doubles match on court one, where the 24th-ranked duo of Katy Propstra and Allison Bradshaw upset the 18th-ranked duo of Ditta Huber and Kara Warkentin 9-8 (7-1). On court three, the ASU duo of Faye DeVera and Karin Palme defeated USC's Jacqui Boyd and Caroline Christian 8-2.
On the singles' side, on court one 64th-ranked Allison Bradshaw defeated 26th-ranked Ditta Huber from USC 6-4, 6-1. Other Devils receiving victories were Kerry Giardino who upset 81st-ranked Veronika Safarova 6-0, 6-1 on court four, and Faye DeVera defeated Krissy Hamilton on court five 7-5, 6-2.
