Baseball Honors its 12 NCAA Championship Teams

LOS ANGELES - The USC baseball program, winner of an unprecedented 12 NCAA championships, will honor those teams this Friday through Sunday (Oct. 31-Nov. 2) as part of the Baseball Reunion Weekend.
Prior to the USC-Washington Homecoming football game on Saturday, a reunion booth will be set up adjacent to Tommy Trojan on the USC campus. At the start of the football game, USC Coach Mike Gillespie, who led the 1998 Trojans to the national title, will do the pregame coin toss. At halftime, legendary former coach Rod Dedeaux (who was named the "Coach of Century" by Collegiate Baseball magazine last spring) and representatives of the 12 championship teams will be recognized.
On Sunday, the reunion continues with a dinner to honor Dedeaux and Gillespie. The dinner, which begins at 5 p.m., will take place at the Regal Biltmore hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
The Fourth Annual Baseball Golf Classic completes the weekend's events on Monday at the Dove Canyon Country Club. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 10 a.m.

Proceeds from the dinner and golf tournament will go toward the "Dedeaux Field Revisited" project, a campaign to renovate Dedeaux Field.
