LOS ANGELES - Pepperdine sophomore RHP Jay Adams threw the second shutout of the day as the top-seeded Waves defeated fourth-seeded Harvard, 4-0, in NCAA Baseball Regional first-round play on Friday night at Dedeaux Field.
Adams (11-2) didn't allow a runner past second base as he scattered four hits and gave up only one walk while striking out eight. It was Adams' third shutout of the season.
