Baseball Team Ranked No. 15 In First Preseason Poll

LOS ANGELES - The USC baseball team drew a preseason ranking of No. 15, Collegiate Baseball announced today. It is the first of the three major polls to be released.
Collegiate Baseball also named junior shortstop Seth Davidson a preseason All-American second teamer. A two-time All-Pac-10 first teamer, Davidson batted .345 with 35 RBI last season.
USC will face 11 teams in the Collegiate Baseball Top 40: No. 1 Stanford, No. 2 Cal State Fullerton, No. 4 UCLA, No. 9 Georgia Tech, No. 10 Houston, No. 18 Texas Tech, No. 19 Arizona, No. 22 Long Beach State, No. 26 Pepperdine, No. 28 Arizona State and No. 38 California.
Additionally, the Pac-10 released its preseason coaches' poll today, and USC was picked to finish third. In order, the list was Stanford, UCLA, USC, Arizona, California, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State and Oregon State.
