Lyndsey Lopes joined the Altius Sports Partners team in late February as the on-campus NIL General Manager at USC. At USC, Lopes will oversee NIL programming and day-to-day operations at USC, provide support to all athletes, coaches and staff in maximizing NIL opportunities, and lead the implementation of athlete-focused NIL education on marketing, personal branding and content creation strategies.
Prior to her hire with Altius, Lopes worked at UCLA Athletics as the NIL Coordinator where she contributed to the development and launch of their marketplace and NIL program and provided NIL education and university NIL resources to all teams, coaches, agents, collectives, and current and prospective student-athletes. She also served as the Advisor for the Black Student Athlete Alliance and coordinated student services for UCLA Athletics regarding housing, compliance regulations, travel, athletic and financial aid, and NIL opportunities.
Lopes began her career in athletics working in the digital media space as the Digital Media Associate for Togethxr, a platform co-founded by Sue Bird, Alex Morgan, Simone Manuel and Chloe Kim, that focuses on amplifying the voices of women in sports. There, she was responsible for content management and engagement strategy, and constructed multiple media projects and promotional content surrounding professional athletes by conducting interviews and research to develop entertaining and informative content.
