THIS SEASON: Lyndsay Kinstler enters her final season at USC... In fall singles, Kinstler went 1-4 overall, competing in the Cal Nike Invite and ITA Southwest Regionals... In fall doubles, went 0-2 with Cristala Andrews and was 4-2 with Danielle Lao, reaching the ITA/Riviera All-American Round of 16 and the ITA Southwest Regional quarterfinals.
2010: Kinstler finished her junior season ranked No. 79 in the nation in doubles with Maria Sanchez... Went 12-18 overall in singles, including a 4-9 mark in dual-match play at the No. 6 position... In doubles, went 15-16 overall, including a 12-10 mark in dual matches... Went 5-5 with Sanchez at the No. 1 doubles position... Finished 6-6 overall with Sanchez and went 7-6 overall with Sarah Fansler, going 7-5 with Fansler at the No. 3 position... Also was 1-1 with Danielle Lao and with Valeria Pulido, and went 0-2 with Leyla Entekhabi... Entered the spring ranked No. 26 in the ITA preseason doubles rankings with Sarah Fansler... Received 2010 Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention... Went 7-6 in fall singles, competing at the Cal Nike Invite and Duals in the Desert and reaching the consolation semifinals of the ITA Regionals... Went 2-5 in fall doubles playing with Leyla, Fansler, Lao and Pulido.
2009: Kinstler finished the season ranked No. 63 in doubles with Sarah Fansler... went 13-12 overall in singles, going 5-3 in dual matches with a 1-0 mark at No. 5 and 4-3 at No. 6... Reached the Round of 16 in the Pac-10 Invitational tournament... In doubles, was 13-11 with Fansler, including a 12-10 mark in dual matches at the No. 1 (1-1), No. 2 (7-7) and No. 3 (4-2) positions... Also went 1-4 overall with Cristala Andrews, falling in the quarterfinals of the Pac-10 Invitational doubles tournament... Received 2009 Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention... During the fall, went 3-4 in singles as she reached the consolation quarterfinals of the ITA Regionals... Finished the season 18-17 overall in doubles, including a 4-2 fall doubles mark after going 2-1 with Niculescu at the Duals in the Desert and 2-1 with Ramos at the ITA Regionals [2 wins with Niculescu later vacated due to NCAA penalty; revised records: 16-17 overall in doubles, 2-2 in fall doubles, 0-1 with Niculescu].
2008: Kinstler went 9-7 overall in singles, going 4-0 in dual match play at the No. 5 (1-0) and No. 6 (3-0) positions... Was 10-12 in doubles play with a 9-9 dual match mark playing with Sarah Fansler (5-5) primarily at the No. 3 slot and Lindsey Nelson (4-4) at No. 2... Went 4-4 in singles and 1-3 in doubles during the fall... Went 2-1 at the ITA West Regionals to reach the Round of 16 and 2-2 in the Duals in the Desert.
HIGH SCHOOL: Kinstler graduated from Laguna Beach High School in 2007... Considered the No. 7 California recruit... Won the 2005 Roxy Singles, 2003 Easter Bowl Doubles and the 2002 Sport Wall Doubles... Also was a finalist for doubles in the National Hard Courts and was a National Hard Court Champion.
PERSONAL: Kinstler was born on December 15, 1988 in Downey, Calif... Daughter of Charles and Linda, both of whom also attended USC... Has one brother, Daniel... Her grandfather was a track athlete at Nebraska... A member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority... Lists her favorite movie as Wedding Crashers and favorite TV shows as `Entourage[apos], `Grey[apos]s Anatomy[apos] and `Nip/Tuck[apos]... Majoring in psychology.
