Lorna Brandt enters her sophomore season with the Women of Troy.
2015
As a freshman, Brandt appeared in 13 matches and went 6-7 overall… went 3-5 with Jo Kremer, 2-1 with Paige Hines, and 1-1 with Marielle Bagnard… advanced to the silver semifinals at the Queen of the Beach Challenge with Kremer… advanced to the quarterfinals of the USAV Beach Collegiate Challenge copper bracket with Hines.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
Brandt was a two-year letterwinner in both indoor and sand volleyball at Palos Verdes HS under head coach Patrick Lynch… she played middle blocker and outside hitter indoors… named First Team All-Bay League in 2013… selected as PVHS team MVP in 2013 and 2014… named 2014 CIF Female Student-Athlete of the Year… played two years at Southern California VBC and one year at Elite Beach VBC… selected to the 2014 USA Beach Volleyball U19 A1 Team… participated on the USA Beach Volleyball U19 A2 Team in 201… competed in the USA Beach High Performance Championships in 2013 and 2014… an AP scholar with honors, member of the National Honors Society, and the California Scholarship Federation… four-year member of the PVHS Associated Student Body.

Lorna Kathryn Brandt was born on Jan. 15, 1996, in Long Beach, Calif.… parents are David and Gretchen Brandt, whom each attended USC… has one brother, Gregory, and one sister, Ellen… grandfather Chuck Leimbach was a three-year letterwinner (1954-56, tight end) and uncle Joe Leimbach was a four-year letterwinner (1980-83, snapper) at USC... uncle Pete Leimbach was a member of USC’s 1989 men’s volleyball team… aspires to play professional beach volleyball… lists Kerri Walsh as her sports heroine… majoring in business administration.
