Skyler Willis has transitioned into the position of volunteer assistant, sprints and hurdles for the 2021-22 season it was announced on July 12, 2021. She had spent the previous three seasons as assistant coach, sprints and hurdles, joining USC's staff in November of 2018.
During the 2021 season, Willis helped guide Anna Cockrell to the NCAA and Pac-12 title in the 100m hurdles, while Jasmine Jones and Mecca McGlaston reached the NCAA semifinals and earned second-team All-America honors. Tade Ojora earned All-America honors in the 110m hurdles by placing sixth at the NCAA finals. He also was third in the hurdles at the 2021 Pac-12 Championships and then went on in the summer to run a PR of 13.38 to move to fifth on USC’s all-time list and win the British Athletics Championships 110m hurdles title.
During the abbreviated 2020 season, Anna Cockrell and Mecca McGlaston earned indoor 60m hurdles All-America honors.
In her first season at USC, the Trojan women's 4x100m relay team set the school record and won the NCAA title in the event. In addition, Chanel Brissett won the NCAA indoor 60m hurdles title and finished runner up at the 2019 Outdoor NCAA Championships. USC had Brissett, Dior Hall and Mecca McGlaston score indoors in the sprint hurdles and Brissett and Anna Cockrell score outdoors at the NCAA Championships. USC also had a combined seven athletes score in the 60m, 100m or 200m at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships, including TeeTee Terry winning the indoor 60m and Angie Annelus winning the outdoor 200m titles.

Willis spent the past three seasons at Florida State on its track and field staff, first as a graduate assistant, then operations assistant. She earned a Master’s of Science in Sports Management from FSU in 2018.

Willis competed collegiately at Akron where she competed in the heptathlon and both the 100m and 400m hurdles. She was a three-time NCAA East Preliminary Rounds qualifier and set Akron school records in the 100m hurdles, the 400m hurdles and as part of the indoor 4x400m relay. She earned her undergraduate degree in sports management from Akron in 2015.

Willis is a Cincinnati, Ohio native, where she starred at Withrow High and set both the city and school records in the high jump, while excelling in the sprints.
