Aaron Amaama is in his first season as USC’s Director of High School Recruiting Relations, bringing a strong track record of building relationships with players, families and coaches—especially in the Polynesian community.
He came to USC in the spring of 2024 as a personnel assistant working to curate top recruiting classes.
Prior to arriving at Troy, he was a member of Tennessee’s recruiting staff for two seasons (2022-23).
A former offensive lineman at Utah from 2014 to 2018, Amaama joined the Utes’ staff after exhausting his eligibility and served as a player analyst through 2022. During that time, he built strong ties with local high school programs as a member of the recruiting department.
Amaama earned First Team All-State playing for Bingham HS (Utah) and was recognized as Region 3’s Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman his senior year in 2013.
Known as “Coach Dogg,” Amaama is respected for his genuine approach, his strong presence in the Polynesian pipeline and his ability to make families feel part of the Trojan program from day one.
