2026: Johnson, who enrolled at USC in the spring of 2026 after graduating a semester early from high school, looks to compete for playing time on the defensive line as a true freshman in 2026.
HIGH SCHOOL: Johnson, a three-star recruit, was rated as the No. 100 player in the state of Texas by ESPN, No. 115 by 247Sports and No. 139 by Rivals. He was touted as the No. 62 defensive lineman in the country by ESPN, No. 99 by 247Sports and No. 108 by Rivals.
He was injured throughout his senior season in 2025. Prior to the season, he was named to the 2025 Sports Illustrated Preseason All-State Team. He also was nominated for the VYPE Dallas-Fort Worth 2025 Preseason Football Public School Offensive Player of the Year. He was recognized as a top defensive lineman in the class of 2026 by The Dallas Morning News. He was a 2025 Under Armour Next Camp: Dallas participant.
As a junior in 2024, he recorded 50 tackles, including 12 for loss with 1.5 sacks, 1 PBU and 1 forced fumble. He earned placement on the 2024 All-North Texas First Team and the 2024 Star Local Media All Area Football Second Team. He was selected as a Prep RedZone 2024 All-Area Defensive Honorable Mention and a 2024 Dallas Morning News All-Area Honorable Mention. He was named the 2024 Prosper Team MVP and the Defensive 6-6A District D-Line MVP. He was also a 2024 Academic All-American.
As a sophomore in 2023, he tallied 15 tackles with 1 sack, including 3 for loss, 1 QB hurries.
Johnson also competed in track and field. He recorded sophomore shot put throws of 41-1 and 40-6. As a freshman in the spring of 2023, he posted a 40-3 shot put rep.
