2025: Rubin will compete for playing time at tight end as a redshirt freshman in 2025.
2024: Rubin did not see action as a true freshman in 2024.
HIGH SCHOOL: Rubin, a four-star recruit, was ranked the No. 25 player in the state of California by 247Sports, No. 26 by ESPN and No. 57 by On3. He was touted as the No. 32 cornerback in the country by 247Sports, No. 37 by ESPN and No. 48 by Rivals.
In addition to playing defensive back, Rubin is a talented returner on special teams.
After transferring to Los Alamitos (Calif.) HS, he helped the Griffins place first in the Sunset League in 2023 during his senior season. That season, he tallied 58 tackles, 7 INTs (including 3 pick-6's) and 4 punt returns where he scored TDs. He represented LA and participated in the 2023 Makasi Bowl.
Rubin missed his junior 2022 season due to transferring, but played his first two years at Desert Pines (Nev.) HS.
PERSONAL: His cousin, Jordan Anderson, is a freshman wide receiver at Oregon State.
