He spent the previous 2 seasons (2017-18) as the director of strength and conditioning at Southern University, serving as the head strength coach for football and overseeing the Olympic sports.
He began his coaching career at his alma mater, Louisiana College, where he served three years on the strength and conditioning staff. Webb worked as both an assistant strength coach and assistant football coach for 2 years (2010-11) and the head strength coach and defensive line coach in 2012.
He then joined the staff at Louisiana Tech as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for football (2014) and head strength and conditioning coach for baseball.
From there, Webb was hired at Eastern Illinois as the head strength and conditioning coach for football, where he spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
Webb joined the staff at Alabama as the head strength and conditioning coach for baseball for the 2017 season.
He holds USAW, CSCS, and PES certification and is CPR certified and Praxis 1.
Webb earned his bachelor's degree from Louisiana College in 2010, where he was a 4-year letter winner on the football team.
He is a native of Oak Grove, La.
