Steve Murillo is in his eighth year on USC’s coaching support staff, currently as an offensive quality control analyst. He served as an offensive administrative assistant from 2014 to 2016, then became an offensive quality control analyst starting in 2017.
He came to USC after 4 years at Washington, first as the high school relations and recruiting specialist for 2 seasons (2010-11) and then as the director of player personal for another 2 years (2012-13).
He was the secondary coach at Santa Barbara City College in 2009. He was an assistant coach at his alma mater, Carpinteria High, in 2007 and 2008. He coached youth football in 2005 and 2006.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Cal State Northridge in 2003, then got a master’s degree in intercollegiate athletic leadership from Washington in 2011.
He prepped at Carpinteria (Calif.) High.
He is married.
