He spent 2018 as a sports performance coach at Massachusetts, working with the football team.
Before that, he was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Nebraska in 2016 and 2017, working with football. He held a similar role at Army in 2014 and 2015.
He worked with the football and NCAA champion men’s tennis teams at USC in 2013-14.
He was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Dartmouth in 2011 and 2012.
He worked with D1 Sports Training as its certified strength and speed coach (2008-10), facility coordinator and head strength and speed coach (2012-13) and head strength coach for NFL Combine training (2013).
He played linebacker at Middle Tennessee State and then in 2006 and 2007 at Alabama, serving as the Crimson Tide’s co-captain in 2007 when he won the team’s Most Inspirational and Bear Bryant awards.
He received his bachelor’s degree in human environmental studies from Alabama in 2007.
He prepped at Brentwood Academy in Nashville (Tenn.), earning All-State Division II honors in football as a junior and senior (he also was on the basketball and track teams).
He was born on Sept. 24, 1984. He is married to Helena La Guardia Marcondes Mustin.
