2024: McKelvey did not see action as a redshirt freshman in 2024.

HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior in 2022, he rushed for 899 yards on 142 carries with 10 TDs at Prescott HS. McKelvey also played linebacker tallying 73 tackles, including 6 for loss (with 3 sacks), as well as 1 INT. He earned AIA Student-Athlete of the Year and National Football Foundation Elite Scholar-Athlete Team in 2022.
As a junior in 2021, he rushed for 584 yards on 119 carries with 5 touchdowns. He also played linebacker, recording 90 tackles, including 9 for loss (with 4.5 sacks). He earned 2021 First Team Grand Canyon Region honors and was named to the 2021 Prep Redzone All-NAZ Offensive and Defensive Team.
As a sophomore in 2020, he rushed for 28 yards on 10 carries with 1 TD. He also played linebacker recording 28 tackles, including 2 for loss, and 1 INT.
He also ran track and played basketball for Prescott.
