BIG TEN NETWORK STUDENT U PROGRAM
ABOUT
Big Ten Network's Student U Program at USC provides instruction and hands-on experience to students, giving those interested in a career in sports television the opportunity to learn all facets of live video production and sports coverage. Student U programing is student-produced and streamed on B1G+ with many also rebroadcast on TV.
The Student U program is enjoyed by nearly 500 Big Ten students across Big Ten Schools and is part of the conference’s educational mission to work, identify and teach the next generation of sports production professionals.

Apply to join the Big Ten Network Student U program at USC!
Students work closely with producers and other students to execute technical operations and assist in other broadcasting tasks. Student workers will receive training in various positions and gain experience in different roles within the broadcast unit.

REQUIRED APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior broadcasting, video production, journalism experience; on set or live production experience is preferred.
- Individual should be highly motivated, have a passion for sports.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in sports broadcasting, journalism, or communications.
- Availability including nights, weekends, and all home games.
- Must be able to lift to 20lbs and handle video equipment.
- Willing to work evenings and weekends.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Enthusiastic and team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Adaptable to new ideas, feedback and constructive criticism
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A passion for storytelling
- Familiarity with sports is preferred but not required.
