USC Student Athletes Join L.A. Kings Wives To Bring Children Holiday Cheer
Nov. 10, 2000
With the holiday season just around the corner, USC Student Athletes have joined the Los Angeles Kings Wives on their annual holiday Toy Drive. For the past week, USC athletes have helped collect toys before Kings home games at STAPLES Center.
The Toy Drive will now continue at USC sporting events. Toys will be collected at the November 18th Men's Basketball Game versus Bradley and November 21st basketball game against the University of San Diego. Both games are at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Collection will continue at the November 25th Notre Dame Football game with drop-off points at Galen Center (behind Heritage Hall) and the Athletic Department Pre-Game Picnic.
Fans who donate a new unwrapped toy at the Bradley or USD basketball games will be entered into a drawing to win autographed USC and L.A. Kings memorabilia.
In December, USC student athletes will deliver toys collected from the toy drive to USC Women's and Children's Center, while Kings players and their wives will present gifts to pediatric patients during their annual hospital visits.
For fans who are unable to drop off their toys at the selected games, USC Athletics will continue to collect toys at Heritage Hall 203A until distribution on December 8.
