Lexus Gauntlet Trophy To Be Presented To USC On Wednesday, June 9

The Lexus Gauntlet Trophy, given to the winner of the year-long all-sports competition between USC and UCLA, will be presented to USC this Wednesday (June 9) at 11 a.m. at Heritage Hall.
Representatives of the Southern California Lexus Dealers Association will present the 150-pound pewter-gilded trophy to USC athletic director Mike Garrett and various Trojan coaches and staff.
USC captured this year's trophy by a 57.5 to 52.5 score. In the previous two Gauntlet races, the competition ended in a 55-55 tie and a tiebreaker had to be used. The Trojans won the inaugural trophy in 2001-02 and UCLA won it last season.
The schools compete against each other in 18 sports throughout the year.
