Athletes of the Week
Jorge Corral, Men's Golf: Corral, a junior, placed fifth at the Pac-10 Men's Golf Championships last week by shooting a one-under-par 287 (four strokes behind the winner). He shot a final-round 67.
Jerome Davis, Men's Track: Davis, a junior, won the 200m (20.51) and the 400m (45.19) at the USC-UCLA-BYU meet on Saturday.
Torri Edwards, Women's Track: Edwards, a junior, tied former USC sprinter Inger Miller for the fastest time in school history in the 100m with a time of 11.11 seconds, good for second place at the USC-UCLA-BYU meet on Saturday.
Morgan Ensberg, Baseball: Ensberg, a senior third baseman, hit three home runs against San Diego State to give him a team-high 17 for the season. His third home run helped USC set a new single-season team record for homers. The Trojans now have 87.
