On Thursday, the Trojans and Titans went back and forth before USC utilized a six-run fifth inning to take a commanding lead. The Trojans turned their 17 hits into a 13-9 home victory.
USC headed to Fullerton for the final two games of the series. The Trojans outhit the Titans again in Game 2, but couldn't capitalize, falling 13-5. Game 3 featured a pitching battle in which Cal State Fullerton had a slight edge, taking the final game by a 2-1 margin.
The Trojans are now 17-16 on the season heading into tonight's makeup game at UC Irvine. The game was originally scheduled for March 21, but was rained out.
