Six-time USC All-American Stina Gardell has booked a ticket to her second Olympic Games. The versatile Swede, who finished 14th in the 400m IM at London 2012, will swim the 200m IM and 4x200m free relay in Rio.
Recently, she won the 400m IM at Swedish Nationals and then narrowly finished second to incoming Trojan Louise Hansson in the 200m IM. They will compete together on the 4x200m free relay team, which Gardell helped win silver at the 2014 European Championships.
