Left with nothing but the present, the Trojans look to affect their future, starting now.
With the past failures -- namely Saturday's 55-21 loss at the Coliseum -- completely out of reach and utterly useless to stew over at this point, USC players and coaches are now focused on righting the ship by capturing the moment. Morning workouts for the players and film sessions for the coaches are all that matters right now. Their next steps -- this afternoon's team meetings, tomorrow's practice and the UCLA game in 12 days -- will be coming later, but for now, it's all about the present.
Focusing on the now will help the Trojans move beyond their past and set the trajectory for their future. Time to make it happen.
