As the invited guest speaker at Saddleback Church's high school ministry, Seto tied football and faith together in an eloquent and powerful sermon at four youth-directed services this weekend, undoubtedly touching the lives of high school students, their parents and many other curious attendees.
Speaking at one of the largest youth ministries in the country, Seto's talk focused on the idea of fear and how that relates to peer pressure. While sharing a personal journal entry entitled, "Everything counts," he discussed the dichotomy between character and reputation to drive home his point.
"Reputation is what others think of you; character is who I am before God," Seto told the audience. "So what's the focus here? We need to focus on pleasing God."
Seto spoke to about 2,000 people over the four services, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. After each talk, several admirers lined up to meet the coach, and overall, his words were very well received.
"You could tell everyone really liked it -- the whole crowd was really into it," said Katie Ryan, a student leader in the high school ministry group who delivered a short introduction of Seto before his sermon. "My friend told me how much of an inspiration Rocky's talk was to him. He was just gushing over the talk."

Defensive coordinator Rocky Seto speaks at Saddleback Church's high school ministry service on Saturday night, one of four services he preached at the Lake Forest church this weekend. Combined, about 2,000 people attended the four services.
