After two big wins for men's water polo this weekend, junior driver Matteo Morelli and freshman two-meter man Matt Maier swept the conference's weekly honors.

Morelli was named MPSF Player of the Week after leading the Trojans in scoring against both Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (three goals) and Cal (four goals). It's the first time the Trojans' leading scorer this season has ever earned MPSF Player of the Week.
Maier, meanwhile, earned his second MPSF Newcomer of the Week award of the season. He scored one goal against both Cal and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. He now has 15 goals on the season.
Maier, Morelli and the Trojans host two more matches before postseason play begins. San Jose State comes to town on Sunday, before USC meets UCLA on Saturday, Nov. 12 to round out the season.
