Game: Entering a talented USC backfield this season, Davis brings quickness as a runner and as an added threat in the passing game. Recruited as one of the fastest high school football players in the state, the running back makes up for any slight lack in size with speed and versatility, bringing about comparison's to NFL running back Darren Sproles.
Prep Career: Davis made 2014 Prep Star All-American and Tacoma News Tribune Western 100 as a senior running back, wide receiver and cornerback at Bishop Alemany High. He also flashed his speed on the track, running 10.47 in the 100m and 21.48 in the 200m. He finished third in the 100m in the 2015 California state track meet.
Fall: As a member of the three-headed monster that is USC's freshmen running back group, Davis has excelled through fall camp and into the season by finding his niche. A fast back with the ability to also play slot receiver, Davis provides versatility for the Trojan offense. In his USC debut, the freshman had two catches for 53 yards as well as one carry for two yards.
Running backs coach Johnny Nansen on Davis: "It's always nice to have a package for 16 because he's really special coming out of the backfield catching the ball. We've got more plays for him this week. He'll excel and he's going to score touchdowns and hopefully he'll get more carries out of the backfield."
