Women's golf continues to be the all-around banner program within the department sporting the highest semester GPA at 3.41 along with all its success on the course. Men's swimming and diving had the top male spring GPA with a 3.12.
While more student-athletes excelled this spring, fewer struggled as only 45 were below a 2.0, which is the fewest number on record. Men's basketball improved the most going from 2.26 to 2.67 as a team, and putting a record three players on the Dean's List.
Baseball not only showed great improvement on the diamond but also in the classroom. The hardball Trojans posted a 2.70 spring GPA, which is the best in-season semester on record for the program over the last 20 years.
Men's golf (2.83), women's basketball (2.93), women's soccer (3.19), women's swimming and diving (3.26), men's track and field (2.89), women's track and field (3.08) and men's volleyball (3.03) had highlight semesters posting GPAs that were among the best on record for the program.
